The Save Sharda Committee Kashmir (Regd.) has welcomed the idea of Re-opening of Sharda Peeth in Pok, as mooted out by J&K State Chief Minister Ms Mehbooba Mufti, yesterday. She made this statement while meeting a delegation of people from POK in Srinagar yesterday. In a press release issued by Save Sharda Committee Kashmir ( Regd.) the founder member of the committee Sh. The Committe has recently got a photo of Sharda Mata installed at the historic temple through the members of civil society in POK. Prior to this flowers were laid and the same alongwith the sacred soil was sent by post to Ravinder Pandita in New Delhi by the civil society of POK in November last. Save Sharda Committee Kashmir ( regd.) has already approached Ministry of Home for clearance through Dr. Jitendra Singh MoS in PMO. The security clearance will be granted shortly, said Ravinder Pandita.
The committe has already given memorandum to Prime Minister and External Affairs Minister as well as the outgoing Ambassador of Pakistan in April last. The Committee has also met Minister of Social Justice and empowerment and MoS External Affairs ministry for facilitating the sacred pilgrimage on LoC permit meant for State subjects of J&K.
