MoS PMO assures Save Sharda Committee of yatra

A delegation of Save Sharda committee Kashmir regd. called on Dr. Jitendra Singh MoS PMO in New Delhi today and presented him coffee Book calendar on Sharda, that was formally released by the minister. A book received from PoK authored by Abdul Ghani on Sharda titled ‘ Sharda – tareekh ke irteqai marahil’ and pious flowers and stone was shown and discussed with the minister, who showed keen interest in the subject. The flowers were laid by the civil society of Pok in January this year at Sharda temple spearheaded by Rayees Mohammed of POK. Sharda issue was raised by civil society of PoK in Bar association of PoK also recently by Tanveer Ahmed ,a reformist & follower on Sharda , said Ravinder Pandita founder and head of save Sharda committee. The Hon’ble minister assured the delegation that the yatra would take place , though there are certain technical hitches in visiting PoK. ” We stress for amendment in LoC permit rules to include cross LoC religious and heritage tourism’ said Ravinder Pandita founder and head of the committee. The delegation again reminded the minister of the existing rules of LoC permit and the struggle of APMCC in this regard. The committee is getting Urdu book on Sharda received by it’s founder recently from civil society of PoK, translated into Hindi , for the benefit of Sharda followers. “We would be inviting the author of the book and civil society members in POK in a seminar in New Delhi to celebrate the translated book on Sharda ” Ravinder Pandita said. Save Sharda committee Kashmir regd is a pressure group working for reopening of Sharda pilgrimage, that was last held in 1948. The committee has already received a landmark judgement on preservation of Sharda in January this year from Supreme court of AJK.
