Doors of mosque closed for Muslims joining the BJP
According to Sahafat (June 22), it cost dear to 22 Muslim family of Shanti Bajar sub division of Tripura to join Bharatiya Janata Party. It is said that Communist Party of India (Marxist) banned these Muslims from entering the mosque. The district administration said that he had got similar kind of news report but no one could have been contacted so far neither any complain was received. District magistrate of south district said that no one would be allowed to interfere into the religious matter and fundamental right of everyone would be protected. President of minority morcha Mohammad Jasimuddin said that the police were informed in this regard. He said that Marxist workers threatened him to kill. They said that if he did not resign from the membership of the BJP, he would not be given employment. Imam of the local mosque said in a fatwa that such people would not be allowed to enter mosque that had joined the BJP. Local residence Babul Hussain said that Imam was forced to issue such fatwa. Mosques were closed for a few Muslims during Ramadan so we offered namaj at another place. But the CPM threatened that if they did not snap ties with the BJP they will pay price for it.
