Barelvi sect took to the gun in Pakistan

March 19, 2017

According to Nai Duniya Newspaper (February 13), Muslims belonging to Barelvi sects are shouting slogans across the country – Jawania Lutayenge, Masjid Bachayenge, Paigamber ki Ninda Ki Ek Saja, Sir Tan Se Juda. People shouting these slogans are those people claimed to be inspired from Sufi sect and claim to be peaceful. Now the question is that why Barelvies are getting violent on the lines of Wahabies. This is really a very dangerous trend for Pakistan. Russia caused a new problem by capturing Afghanistan while the US took cold war ahead by starting the war through Pakistan. It has been reported in media quite widely those terrorist gangs were getting economic and moral support from Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Qatar. The US supplied arms and ammunitions to these groups to address its economic interest while policies of Zia ul Haq encouraged it. Barelvi sect in Pakistan claimed that over 45 thousand Sunni, Sufi and Barelvi Muslims are subject to violence. In May 2001, Salim Qadri was killed in the Karachi city of Sindh. In March 2005, Pir Rakhil Shah Mausoleum was attacked by suicide bomb to blow it up while this year a suicide bomber blew him up at the Peer Rakhil Shah mausoleum in Baluchistan killing 36 sufies. Mausoleum of Bade Imam Sarkar in Islamabad was attacked by a suicide bomber in 2005. Next year in 2006, Mausoleum of Haji Shah Tanjai in Baluchistan was attacked. Hundreds of people were killed in the blst during Milad ul Nabi procession. Abdul Shakoor Malangbaba’s mausoleum in Khaibar Agency waszzattacked and it was completely destroyed in 2007.
